Dominique Portet Shiraz 2008 Heathcote
The 2008 was a most beautiful year in Heathcote, where there are purely old Cambrian red soils.
A deep garnet rich colour with abundance of plum and spicy flavours and aromas, dark small berry fruit and a savoury finish.
The flavours are well integrated giving a complexity of sun dried earth. The palate is fresh, exceptionally full with ripe delicious tannins and plenty of life and energy. Textures are very fine and long.
The oak maturation has developed the Shiraz’s balanced flavour, which will last for the next 10 years.
