The fountain that stands at the front of the cellar was imported from Aix en Provence - the city of a thousand fountains. The fountain, found at the heart of every French village, represents a meeting place and a generous flow of life’s most vital element. Today, it’s a reminder of Dominique’s time spent in Provence, planning for the creation of a family domaine over 20 years ago, and as a metaphor to the flowing and easy drinking nature of our wines.

Named after Dominique’s father, André Portet, who was general manager of Bordeaux’s esteemed Chateau Lafite and taught a young Dominique about wine, business and the family lineage. And just his warmth, wisdom and generosity, this wine club membership encapsulates this great man’s vision and guidance.
