Bright red fruit and a gentle savoury edge lead into a juicy, light-bodied palate with soft tannins and lively lift. This is a Cabernet Franc made for early drinking, best served lightly chilled and poured from a carafe, where its freshness and fragrance really come alive.
Fermentation
Handpicked fruit was sorted berry by berry, then fermented cool to keep the wine fresh, fragrant and light on its feet. No new oak was used, allowing the purity of fruit and site to shine through.
Vineyards
From our Coldstream vineyard, grown on grey loams with broken sandstone soils and planted to the ENTAV 327 clone. Careful shoot thinning and early summer crop reduction balance the vines, allowing Cabernet Franc to ripen fully and deliver naturally intense, fragrant fruit.
Vintage
The 2024 season began with a cool, wet winter before finishing warm and even. These conditions suited Cabernet Franc particularly well, allowing it to ripen fully and shine as a confident, standalone expression.
