Profile
Dark cherry, blackberry, liquorice and spice, framed by fine tannins and lifted fragrance. A poised, cool-climate Shiraz.
Fermentation
Handpicked, berry-sorted fruit was fermented gently with 20 percent whole bunches to build aromatic lift and savoury spice. Ageing for twelve months in large 500L French oak puncheons, with 15 percent new, brought subtle toast and structure, shaping a Shiraz that feels savoury, lifted and quietly confident.
Vineyards
From a single site in Coldstream, planted on grey loams with broken-down sandstone soils. This distinctive site provides the foundation for a cool-climate expression of Shiraz.
Vintage
A cool spring followed by a gentle, warm finish shaped the 2023 season in the Yarra Valley. Slow ripening preserved freshness and fragrance, producing wines with depth, spice and natural balance.
