Profile

Expressive and composed, with red cherry and plum layered with violet, cedar, liquorice and subtle savoury notes. The palate is supple and generous, supported by fine, integrated tannins and balanced acidity. A Cabernet showing both vibrancy and development, with harmony and a long, elegant line.

Fermentation

Fruit was hand-selected and handled with a focus on structure, clarity and balance. Gentle extraction preserved aromatic lift while building fine tannin. Maturation in French oak contributed subtle spice and integration. Time in bottle has allowed the wine to soften and come together, revealing composure, texture and layered complexity.

Vineyards

Sourced from the estate vineyard in Coldstream, planted on grey loams over clay with broken sandstone. These soils provide ideal conditions for Cabernet Sauvignon, producing fruit with aromatic definition, structure and the ability to mature with balance and consistency.

Vintage

The 2013 Yarra Valley season was warm and dry, allowing Cabernet Sauvignon to ripen fully with strong varietal character and depth of flavour. The resulting wines show generosity alongside structure, with balanced acidity supporting long-term development. With time in bottle, this vintage has evolved into a harmonious and expressive Cabernet.
